Summer Blog Hop {Day 10}

Welcome back friends to {Day 10} of the Summer Blog Hop!  Thank you all so very much for following our hop!  We hope you are enjoying it as well as sharing this with all your sewing & handwork peeps!  I can't believe we hit double digits on the hop!  We have shared 10 designers/projects with you!  So exciting!!!

Thank you also for giving Lynette a warm welcome to blog hop!  I think she did a lovely job on her day, don't you?  And how cute is her project?  The hues are so warm & sweet!  I believe she used fabric from her line of fabrics!  So if you are looking for these same tones, I would contact her!  I am sure she would be happy to assist you!  Thanks Lynette!  Great project!!

Today's talented designer is Kathy, from Kathy Schmitz Studio!  It is sooo great to have Kathy back in the hop!  She is always on the go and quite busy... so it is awesome that she took time out to make her day happen!  {SEW...Be sure to thank her!!!}

Kathy lives in Oregon.  I was hoping our paths would cross at the Sister's Quilt Show, but it didn't!  Hopefully, next time!  As many of you know, Portland is known as the City of Roses.  Kathy was kind enough to share these gorgeous roses from Portland's Rose Garden!  They are so pretty!  I will be keeping this in mind and adding it to my "must do" list when I am back in Portland!  I can only image how beautiful the garden smells as well!!!

Kathy enjoys handwork, and incorporates it into her designs and fabric lines.  Today she is sharing this sweet HOME design with you all, on her blog!  I love it!  I also love how it is adorns the pitcher of twigs!  It is the perfect little addition to the darling vignette!

Be sure to print out Kathy's recipe and click the link below to head over to her blog and enjoy her post & project today!!!

Don't forget to come back tomorrow and see what the other Cathy has in store for us!
Enjoy & thanks for following our Summer Blog Hop!

Back to the HOP!!!!  Did you enjoy Tracy's sweet little garden pocket?  I love how she got creative and added the little triangles on the side!  This project is also fun as it combines wool & stitchery!  Two of my FAV mediums!  Add the toweling... and magic happens!!  I can't wait to see everyone's projects!  Don't forget to share them with us on our FB page!!!

As I mentioned earlier, we are thrilled to have Lynette in our blog hop!  I can't wait to see what she has in store for us!  I know it will be on the smaller side and simply adorable!  Next time I see her, I will be getting a lesson on her technique for small (really small) needle turn applique!  Have you seen her work?  Stunning!  I have no clue how she can work that small!  I strongly encourage you to go enjoy her website and see all her delightful designs!!!
 I am not sure I believe Lynette when she says she doesn't have a green thumb!  Check out these darling plants, growing ever so lovely!  They are gorgeous!  For more summer facts from Lynette, please read below!  Then be sure to click the link, also below, and head over her way for more fun & her complimentary project!!

Summer Blog Hop {Day 8}

Hello, again!  Welcome back to the Summer Blog Hop!  I hope your day got a little bit sweeter yesterday with Debbie's sweet sewing lemons & yummy recipes!  I think they are adorable!  I know I will be making these meatballs too for the family!  Plus, they make a lot, so you can freeze some and enjoy them later!

Today {Day 8} on the hop brings us Tracy, from Plumcute Designs!  She is another great gal who loves handwork & sewing.  If you follow her on FB you will see that she bring her handwork with her everywhere she goes!  How exciting to stitch everyday, anywhere!!!  Tracy also loves to spend time with her family as you can see here from their family vacation!  I thought she had a stellar idea when she mentioned she has her kids make a "summer" bucket list!  What a great idea!  I think we all could use a "summer" bucket list as summer is short and sure seams to fly by here in MN!

Please enjoy Tracy's summer tidbits and then click the link to enjoy her project on today's hop!

I have a green thumb but usually get so busy that I end up killing things because I forget them.

Average temp = HOT...90's-100's

I stay cool by staying inside stitching or occasionally going swimming (followed by poolside stitching)

Favorite summer drink is (hands down) sweet tea...favorite summer adult drink is a toss up between a margarita and a cold beer.

4th of July was spent with family watching movies & stitching.

S'mores...yes please.  Love to add a rolo for just a little extra flavor!

I love farmers markets but sadly, I usually remember to go just about the time they are closing.

Favorite fruit...peaches.

I take handwork with me everywhere.  I have been known to stitch at baseball games, soccer games. & the golf course (while watching  my kids practice).

My favorite summer tradition is having my kids make a bucket list and then seeing how many things we can cross off.

See you again tomorrow!!!!

Today's designer is Debbie, from Wooden Spool Designs!  She lives in Oregon.... and we met at the Quilt Show in Sister's and spent some time together!  We had sew much fun!!!  Debbie is in the middle and Anna {who I stayed with} is on the right!

Debbie also enjoys spending time with her family!  Not a day goes by that she isn't enjoying being a grandma!

There is nothing like good hose water splashed on the feet while watering the flowers and garden!! Plus I love having A/C!!

Graham cracker, Hershey chocolate bar, and a golden roasted marshmallow!!!

Summer Blog Hop {Day 6}

Hello... Welcome to {Day 6} of the Summer Blog Hop!!!  So far we have enjoyed a cotton/wool project, an apron, a wool pinkeep, a Redwork mini quilt and a creative stitches project!  Wow!  What a variety!  I hope you're printing the patterns off, even if you don't have time to whip them up anytime soon!  You will have a nice little booklet of easy & quick projects... by the time we are done with the hop!  And oh... Don't forget to print the recipes off too!  If you're like me, every once and awhile you want to try something new!  And better yet... these are tried & tasty recipes from some of your FAV designers!!!

Today we have a lovely gal, Lori, from Notforgotten Farm, who enjoys working in various mediums from cross stitch, to rug hooking!  Her cross stitch patterns are very unique and primitive!!  We love having her in the blog hop, because she works in so many mediums... you never know what she's going to come up with!!!!   It's so exciting!!!  After you see her project below, you'll understand how I couldn't resist posting this little quote as I introduce her & her sweet turnip design!!!  {i know it's cheesy.... but I bet you giggled!!}....

Lori also always has the best recipes! Doesn't this salad sound yummy?  It even has green olives in it!  I love it!  I'm going to be picking up the ingredients for this one to make this weekend!!!  What a great new spin on a potato salad!

Since we "turnip up the beet"... it's time to check out her darling turnip rug hooking design!  I'm sure you could do this in wool applique too, if you are not a rug hooker!  It reminds me of an old seed packet!!  Please click the link below to head over to her site!

If you're a wool lover... Be sure to check out our WOOLSTOCK Event & shop opening coming up this September!  It's going to be a fantastic time & we'd love to have you!  See you tomorrow!!!
