NEW Oct Vintage Truck & Block 11 Release!

Shop talk… First, I hired another gal, Liz that will be pulling orders for all of you!  She is great and we think she will be a perfect fit for us!  On the flip side, Joey moved, and will only be stopping by to help out at our monthly events!  Hey- better than nothing!  It was so great to see her last weekend at the event!  We miss her tons!  We have also started a new shipping system that takes more time, but in the long run, should be more beneficial.  So those of you who order regularly will notice that!!!  Hope you don't miss our hand written addresses!!! LOL!  I am old school… so I prefer hand addressing, but the gals do not like bringing totes of orders to the PO everyday and waiting in line!  Soooo…. I caved! LOL!!!

On the home front…. Hannah is off with her boyfriend's family to enjoy fall festivities with his grandparents!  She had big tests everyday this we so she is ready for the weekend! She is also excited to attend the annual fall supper at church down there…  mainly because there is a cake walk!  We LOVE cake walks!!!  {When it is for a HOMEMADE cake!!!} Lol!!!  Grace has various plans with friends for the weekend… and I am excited to mention that she made Varsity Kick, for Dance Team!  Not bad for a 9th grader!  As always… I sure enjoy my girls and love seeing them enjoying life!!!!  Today I enjoyed getting Halloween packages ready for a couple college students, my brother...etc…  I love sending treats to friends and family!  Then tonight, George and I are hitting a movie tonight and a Halloween Parade tomorrow!  After all, Anoka is the Halloween capitol of the world!!!  It is just down the road from the shop!  Should be FUN!

OH, my gosh!  Today is the release of the NEW August Vintage Trucks thru the Year & it is "LUCKY" Friday over on our FB page!  We are in full swing getting the shop ready to open & welcome all our guests coming from all over the US & Australia for our WOOLSTOCK Event!  We have also been designing some new patterns just for the event!  And… speaking of NEW patterns… today is the release of our NEW AUGUST Vintage Truck thru the Year!  WE ADORE this one!  Be sure to get a KIT... because I don't think you will be able to find the wool we used anywhere else to create this autumn themed mat!  We also restocked the other truck kits!  So head over to our website at www.buttermilkbasin.com & enjoy!

This is the busiest time of year for us at the Basin!  Plus, all your FAV quilt shops are vending at their local shows and we need to make sure their needs are met too!  We are beyond busy, but are happy to say we LOVE it!  We can't wait to come to work each day and see what awaits us!  We also have been busy planning another ONLINE EVENT!  We will be having a "FALL" in to September Event!  It will be very similar to our Christmas in July Event - except FALL themed!  Be sure to mark your calendar as many things sold out quickly last round!  It will be held the same time as our WOOLSTOCK Event!  So for those of you who are not coming, this should brighten your day!  We don't want you to think we forgot about you!!!!!

How are  your Quilts-on-a-Stick designs coming along!?!?  We have seen a couple sneak peeks & have put more info, including the ENTRY FORM on our website homepage right on the left hand side for each of you to click and print it off!  We can't wait to start getting some in!  Don't forget… we have HEFTY prizes!  1st $250.00, 2nd $200.00 & 3rd $150.00 in Buttermilk Basin Gift Certificates to use online or at the shop!  Plus - we have SEW much NEW GOOD coming in, including more trays, seasonal décor, gourd candy dishes, hand dyed velvet, fall bundles and lots & lots of more good stuff that we all love!!!!

On the home front, if I thought it was busy at the shop… the girls are sure keeping me on my toes!  Grace & Hannah have started their fall activities, took their school pics/orientation, and are finished with school shopping!  We are still trying to find time to get Hannah's grad pics done!  Hannah continues to check out colleges…  she is going to check out Iowa State next week!  She just finished her behind the wheel, so up next is test time!  Meanwhile, we are getting some work done on the house {it is a HOT mess right now!}!!!  LOL!  Can anyone else relate to the chaos!!!???  Believe me… our lives are not "Instagram" perfect like you see from many on there!!!  I look at those pics and wonder how some people do it!  I am just happy if the dishes get done and the pets get fed!!!! LOL!!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday kicked off the MN State Fair!  First time in years I did not make it there… I was too busy cutting kits!  However, we are going to meet my SIL, drop off kits with her to package & then we will be heading to the fair!  I can't wait!  It is my FAV time of year!!!!
