New Year, New BOM, Club & more!

Happy New Year!  I hope your first day of 2016 is off to a GREAT start, like mine is!  I slept in, hubby put a porketta in the crock pot....and this post got delayed.... because we were determined to finish a Wizard of Oz, 1000 piece puzzle!  We did it!  {In between playing fetch with Oliver & carefully keeping the cats off the table!}

I have been so excited to connect back up with you all again!  I have to say "thank you" for allowing me 10 days off with my family to just enjoy!  You have no idea how much that meant to me to be "present" in the moments with them!  Each day has truly been a blessing & filled with much joy!  Plus... I am refreshed and ready to make 2016 ROCK for Buttermilk Basin, YOU & I!!!!  I hope you plan on making it ROCK for YOU, too!!!!!  We got this!!!!

Speaking of rocking... The new BOM is partially drawn and I will start stitching it this week!  It is stunning!  And - IF you like the Merrie Christmas or Merrie Halloween BOM, then you will L-O-V-E this one!!!!  I am not sure what I will be naming it, since others are following my lead with the wool/cotton "Mystery" BOM from last year!  How cool is it to be a trend setter!!!!  {EXCITING!!}  The coolest part for each of YOU is that mine will be DIFFERENT, FREE & you won't need to be a part of a group or pay a fee to participate!  My only focus of the BOM is making it AMAZING & FUN for YOU!!!!!  The NEW BOM will be starting on January 15th!  Get EXCITED & be ready!!!!!

Also... Due to the popularity of my Vintage TRUCK designs... I am thrilled to say that I will be releasing a series of 12 trucks thru the year starting on January 15th!!  I have a few drawn and will be fusing/stitching them, also, starting next week!  As you can see from the picture below... Bella was quite a helper drawing the first 2!  If you are taking the cruise... You will be the FIRST to get the 2nd truck pattern/kit in the series!  I will be teaching it on the cruise!!!!  T-shirts, name tags, little extras are also being worked on!  We will be shipping all our cruise "goods" this month to Florida!!!  It is almost time gals!  Lisa & I plan on having a great, fun & relaxed time with you all on the cruise!  Plus we have a BIG, I mean BIG surprise for you cruisers!!!!   I can't wait to tell you more about that!!!

I can't keep the "cat in the bag" any longer!  If the new BOM, designs & exciting cruise isn't enough...  We will be starting a CLUB!  All I will say today, is that it will be worth joining!  It is called... SEW Lucky!  This will be my "baby"!  I love that you inspire me to BE MORE & I LOVE, LOVE,  LOVE surprising you and being your source for CREATIVE INSPIRATION!!!!!!  Cheers to US and a year filled with love, laughter & "LUCKY" Friday Giveaways!!!!   Let's get the new year party started... Please head over to our FB page and leave me a comment about your Holidays, your excitement over the new offerings or a pic for a chance to WIN these patterns!!!  It has been toooo long!!!  Glad we have a fresh start & are back in action!!!  YEEHAW!!!!!  All my best... Stacy!

Do you have a WORD of the Year? I DO!

2*0*1*5  WOW!
I remember my grandpa Fred saying that the years start going by quicker and quicker as you get older!  I didn't believe him then... but I sure do now!

New Year's Resolutions?  Word of the Year?

After so many years at failing New Year's resolutions..
a girl just gives up hope on them and switches to the "WORD" of the year!

They say, "Sometimes a single word can change everything!" I believe that!

A couple of years ago I struggled with "believing"... {Trust me- the list of what I struggled with is far too long to list here!!! LOL!}  So, I choose the word BELIEVE, hoping that it had the potential to inspire me & create intention in my life!  I incorporated it into my thoughts and goals over the last couple of years.  The word believe itself spoke volumes to me and I ended up getting a tattoo on my left wrist just to remind me to BELIEVE!
That "WORD" is amazing and it has really been my saving grace!

Now that you know I am a thinker, dreamer and not afraid to live my life out loud
{with the hope of encouraging or inspiring others}...

My "WORD" for 2015 is CELEBRATE!

As many of you know my mother was a very big part of my life and my company... the last few years she was very ill and most days lived in fear of what could or would happen to her...most days she simply existed, and was scared to embrace life and enjoy the journey, even on her good days!   During that time, we {mainly me} felt like we should not be celebrating the "simple and big joys" that came our way... our {my} focus was always on mom...

Fast forward to our family trip over the Holidays to Florida...
I did a lot of thinking, reminiscing and mourning since it was the first Holiday Season without mom.  During that time - I realized, not only have I (we) not celebrated the typical things like Holidays etc.. but also the simple joys in life...  It seems I was always so busy going from one thing to the next that I put off celebrating!  I am so blessed and have so much to celebrate from a wonderful husband & family, a creative gift, an amazing company {that has far exceeded my expectations}, a comfortable lifestyle filled with simple joys & lots of wool, cotton & thread etc...

I am going to CHOOSE to CELEBRATE!

I am no longer waiting until I have the time
or until I loose the weight
or until the cats stop shedding {lol!}...

There are NO do-overs in life...

I am going to enjoy every moment!!!

BE ready... It is going to be an AMAZING year!

Are you choosing a ‘Word of the Year’ this year?
I’d love to hear what it is if you feel like sharing it here!

Happy Belated Holidays!!!

Hello Friends!

I would like to take this time to wish you all a belated Happy Holidays and very Happy New Year!  I hope the Holidays were all that you had hoped they would be and more!

Since I last spoke with you... I have been very busy making memories with my mom and my family.  The year had been very trying for us working around mom's cancer and I simply needed to slow down and focus on my family after my last event the end of November!  Being a one woman show, for the most part- takes up much more time and energy than I share with each of you.  I never want to complain because I am very blessed & thankful to be able to do what I do and share it with each of you...  So let's get back in the groove!!

Since the girls have been so supportive with caring for my mom and allowing me to spend most of my days & nights working while dad is traveling for work... this Christmas, we decided to take a family trip to somewhere warm & fun with the girls!  So we got a condo in Naples, Florida (Pelican Bay) and spent 10 days memory making with them!  The only down side is that I got the flu (chest/head/cough before we left) then Grace, then Hannah.  But - we used out energy wisely and as you will see in the pictures below - had a great time!!!!  I will post below the group of pictures where/what we were doing!  I will share more with you too... this is the first couple days we spent at the condo!!!!

This is where we stayed!
A view from our patio!
Our pool!  Hannah chilling!

These pictures were from our dinner cruise on the Marco Island Princess!

New Year~Gratitude

Happy New Year!  I hope this note finds you doing well and enjoying 2013.  I had the pleasure of spending time with my in laws and extended family on Christmas Eve and being a host on Christmas Day for a couple of school classmates and their family…  After a few days of Holiday fun, much needed rest, {and after receiving my 3rd set of Matchbox 20 tickets for this year!} we rang in the New Year in a (sooo much needed) simple way… with just the 4 of us!  It was low keyed, but together as a family…
I also wanted to thank each of you {again} for your business throughout the past year.  I know there are many designers out there and only so much time and money to be put into one of your favorite past times.  Know I appreciate you for purchasing my patterns, but more importantly for the joy you bring to my days, like today, when I spoke to all of those who were so excited and eager to sign up for the club(s)!  I have a gift, and I choose to share it with you because I wouldn’t want it any other way!
As some of you know, this year has been very challenging for me on a personal and professional level.  There have been days when I almost threw in the towel… For those of you who do not know… I am A ONE WOMAN SHOW at Buttermilk Basin {but have great friends who lend a hand when I need them}!  Without getting into the specifics – I honestly TRY to do it all…  Some days I ROCK at it and some days I don’t.  One minute I am spending 4 hours at the hospital with my mom then juggling to get my work done... the next moment I am a mom to my darling young girls!  Some days I may even be “burnt out” and find it hard to get motivated {but I DO} – even if you don’t see it happening.  I work when I am sick {like right now} and I lay awake at night thinking about all the things I did or did not do.  My to do list and opportunities (blessed) don’t end….  I am NOT perfect by any means and make mistakes.  But through it all, YOU support me and encourage me.  Your emails and stories INSPIRE me to PRESS ON!   I love hearing about how it helped relax you while you were in the hospital recovering, or how it helped heal your soul as you were grieving or how special your day was when you taught your granddaughter how to stitch one of my designs.  Those are the reasons I do it…. for that, I thank you! AND - I thank you for your patience, your understanding and your kind words as I simply do the best I can with what I have to work with during these crazy hectic days of my life here at the Basin!
Speaking of blessed… I thought I would share this little treasure with each of you… I have set goals, have a list of things to work on, and will continue to be grateful for my wonderful life!  And… this is where I am doing each day of the year!  Don’t  you just love it!  You can find it on Etsy under the seller Iloveitall!  Happy New Year...let's make it a great year!
