Hey!!! Happy "LUCKY" Friday! Can't believe it is Friday again! WHOOP WHOOP! Today I have some AWESOME goods to share with you! First off, we have our weekly giveaway design/kits for our "Chalk It Up" Series, November!  I am going to try to do a giveaway here too!  I wanted to make sure we released this before Thanksgiving! It reminds us to gather together and give thanks, which I know many of you will be doing next week! The wool & fabrics are gorgeous, as always! Next, we have the last block in our Sweet Olde Summertime BOM ready to ship! It is a cute one, I must say... especially for all you dog & vintage truck lovers! It is the perfect block to wrap up our set of 7 blocks! Next month we will have the finishing kit available! I am not sure when that will be released, as I am expecting my NEW Spirit of America fabric collection to come in and plan to use that right out of the gate for this BOM!~ It will be perfect!!! I can't wait!

Next week we will be putting a BUNCH of WOOL on our website! I had no clue our website was out of wool and Lord knows, we HAVE TONS OF WOOL! This week the gals have been busy kitting and next week they will get the wool bundles ready! We might even put some larger, single pieces on there too! I will either post them on Wed or Friday! So keep an eye out for them!!!!

Next Saturday {Nov 25th} we ARE OPEN for Small Business Saturday! So if you are in the area or traveling through... we have some GREAT deals waiting for you! We are also starting to get ready for our Christmas open House, which starts on Nov 30th! Did you also catch that we are having an "Ugly Sweater" Contest/Party? We LOVE having FUN here with our customers at the shop! We can't wait!

Now... for all you out of towners & online shoppers... We have an upcoming event, "12 Days of Christmas", coming up just for YOU! So no need to worry, we have lots of great deals, new designs and such that we are working on just for you! We appreciate YOU just as much and will do our best to make those 12 days just as fun!!! The 12 Days of Christmas starts December 1st and goes through the 12th! Can't wait for the festivities to begin!

On the home front... Last night we had supper with Hannah & her boyfriend's family! That was a fun time!!! Tonight we are heading down South of the cities to meet up with some family members for supper!! Tomorrow we will be off to watch Grace dance in her first comp! So excited to see her dance again! She modeled her dance outfit for us and it is soooo pretty this year!!! Then we will wrap up the weekend with a Timberwolves game!!! Should be a great weekend!

If that's not enough... we also have the November Hexi Door Greeter and Hexi Mat Patterns & kits available on our website now too! We LOVE how these turned out! We have the kits made & ready to ship! The wool is so warm & gorgeous in these kits! We are also working on the December models... so we plan to bring those to you sooner than later, so you can get them stitched up before Christmas!!

Where have I been?!? Well... working, hosting Santa's Workshop, pulling all nighters {which aren't as easy as they used to be!!} & exhibiting in Houston! We have also been working on a few "secret" projects! We also had Carole, the Quilt Mania/Simply Vintage editor fly in from France for a photo shoot for a book they are publishing for me! I promise... I'm not "slacking"!!! Lol! I also designed a super cute project for my friend Anna, to teach at Sisters, Oregon, during the quilt show! So be sure to watch for that coming out and sign up for her class! The project is themed around that event! I've also been working on 2 more fabric lines! It's nothing but exciting here for us at the Basin! We can't wait to share more with you when we can!!!!

Before I forget, I'd like to say "welcome" to all our new followers & "thank you" to our faithful supporters! You gals are just the best! Thanks for the emails, likes & for sharing your work with us!!! We love our BB community!!!

Our retail shop is getting busier & busier! Today we even had 2 gals stop in to shop when we weren't open! So... we are thinking about being open more & starting up the clubs we've always dreamt of in the new year! IF this is something you would like to see happen... please let us know! It could be hard to juggle- but we sure could give it a whirl!!!!

On the home front... Grace & Hannah are doing great!!! Grace has a timer set on her phone that is counting down the days until she gets her license! Lol! It's not until Feb!!! She's busy dancing, meeting up with friends at Caribou & recently got the cutest hair cut/color! Han is enjoying college! She's spoiled with us being so close! {But- I wouldn't have it any other way!}. She enjoyed her first deer hunting experience with her boyfriend & his family last weekend! {No, she'd never shoot a deer!}. She's going out again with them this weekend! Can't believe she's doing it!!! Lol! On a sad note... we had to put down one of Grace's guinea pigs, Pia. Poor little girl got so sick. We are hoping her other guinea pig, Oreo, doesn't get lonely!!!

New Fall Designs, Giveaway, WOOL & NEW BOM Coming Soon!

Happy, Happy, "LUCKY" Friday this Holiday weekend!! I am so glad to be back to give away some gorgeous WOOL Bundles, share some new designs/kits, and catch up with you this week!!!! I MISSED YOU ALL LAST WEEK!! {I will be giving away a dozen of the bundles, so make sure you comment as these will be great for your upcoming fall projects!!!!}

First off the wool bundles… each month we hand pick some of our FAV wool pieces & bundle them up just for you! You can either buy them each month or you can call us and set yourself up on autoship and have them shipped to your door each month! We have many customers that do this, and wanted to make sure everyone knows about this option!!!

Next… we have 1 of the NEW Hexi designs ready! If you haven't done any of our Hexi WORD Door Greeters yet - this is one you should consider doing! Our September design spells out the word FALL and it is a KEEPER! We love everything about his design! It captures the essence of fall!!! We have patterns & kits available on our website! We also have the final snowman block available for our Bringing Home the Tree BOM! Next month, we will release the finishing kit for the quilt. If you are on the fence about purchasing the kit - I would consider doing it soon.... as we are unsure if we have the time to repeat this as a BOM! As I mentioned in the video I shared earlier today, our kits are unlike any other kits you may purchase from somewhere else… our kits contain the same wool/cotton that we use in our designs or the next closest piece possible! We want you to feel confident when ordering our kits!

At the shop… We are rocking it!  My two new gals are doing great! Diana has been here 2 weeks now & Jessica has 1 week under her belt! I have such big plans and am so lucky to have good help to move forward! Everyone is off to enjoy the Holiday weekend - so please note we are closed on Monday! 

On the home front … my girls are growing up way to fast! We moved Hannah in her dorm room on Tuesday. She doesn't have a roommate. She had wanted one, but by the time they got to her, they were down to single rooms. At first she was a little bummed, but now that she is in - she loves it!!! It was a bittersweet moment… not going to lie.. this momma is emotional and there have been a few tears shed! Luckily, everything is going great for her and she is already making new friends! She is only 20 minutes away so in the big scheme of things, we are blessed to have her close!  We will be meeting up with her at the State Fair tonight! So excited!!!! Grace is set, too, for school! She is going in to 10th grade and has spent most of the summer dancing! I enjoyed watching her dance/cheer at the first football game last night! Nothing makes me more happy than knowing my girls are happy & enjoying themselves! I love my girls {and worry about them} soo much! I am sure many of you can relate!!!! Luckily, we have handwork to keep busy with, right?!!!

Happy "LUCKY" Friday on this holiday weekend!!  We've been busy as bees  around here!!!  We even got the NEW  JULY Hexi {patriotic} designs ready for you before the 4th!  We can't believe how cute they turned out!  Who knew the word "flag" would lend itself to the perfect Hexi Door Greeter!  This could be my FAV! {Until I design the next one! LOL}  The Hexi mat is also perfectly patriotic!  We still have to finish stitching them - so they will look even cuter once they are finished!  In celebration of the 4th, we are giving away hexi kits!!!!  WOOHOO!  So please leave a comment on our Facebook page for a chance to WIN a kit!!!!!

Sweet Olde Summertime Block 4 is also making its debut on our website!  It features an old truck & a vintage camper!  This one is a MUST, even if you aren't doing the entire BOM!  This block is HUGE!  It is the largest in the BOM!  We are running out of the red textured wool… so snatch up the kit while the red is included!!!

Not sure if you know - but we carry a TON of wovens/homespuns at the shop!  We will now be offering them online for you, as well!  So far we made up 7 different fat quarter bundles!  They are all so pretty!  You really can't go wrong with purchasing any of them.  The bundle includes 5 pieces.  We will be adding more weekly.

If you enjoy magazines, we also put the NEW Simply Vintage Summer 2017 issue on our site!  If features some fun wool & cotton designs for summer! 

WOOL!  We whipped up some darling Baskets of Yellow Daisies/Sunflowers wool for you and tucked it in a sweet berry basket!  {Sweetness!}  Hopefully, we have provided enough wool, homespun & kit options for you to enjoy and look at while you are enjoying time chilling in the warm sunshine this weekend!!!!!   

Jodi & Kelly are off camping this weekend!  Joey & I will be holding down the fort!  I have way too much to do to take much time off!  One daughter is up North with friends/family at her boyfriend's cabin.  The other daughter is hanging out with us and her BFF here!  I am sure we will take in a parade, enjoy some patriotic treats with our neighbors & enjoy some beautiful fireworks!  I love the 4th!  It means summer is definitely here in MN!  My mom used to host a 4th of July celebration up North!  It was so much fun!  We started the day out by going to Greenbush {small town USA} for a good old fashioned parade.  Then we would go home & get things ready!  We would have a tractor parade, serve a big spread of homemade goods including Uffda Tacos {fried bread tacos} which we displayed on our hay trailer!  Many friends and family came with hotdishes, cakes & more goodies!  We would end the night with a grand display of fireworks!  Such good times & great memories!!!!

NEW FREE Block 6 Pattern & NEW Hexi DESIGNS& KITS

HEY!  It is a SUPER FANTASTIC "LUCKY" Friday over on our FB page!  We have outdid ourselves this week for you {even with being shorthanded!!}  Not only did we get the NEW Block #6 ready from our LIVE EACH SEASON "Mystery" BOM… we also pulled off getting caught up with our Hexi BOM's!  We have 2 NEW Hexi "Door" Greeters and 2 NEW Hexi Mats for you in the cutest themes!  May's designs feature SEWing themes, while June's feature HOME & hearth motifs!  These 5 NEW designs were so fun to create!  You know that is my FAV part!  With SEW many designs being released this week, it was hard to choose a LF Giveaway!  So… I decided on giving away KITS for Block #6 of the mystery bom!  So be sure to leave a comment below for a chance to win a sweet kit!!!

 Speaking of the LIVE EACH SEASON BOM…  After realizing that people from all over the world are doing this "Mystery BOM" and ending up changing out the American flags for their country's flags - I decided to  pass on adding another flag, and instead snuck in a red, cream & blue flower!  Plus, who doesn’t love an old fashioned picnic basket filled with assorted flowers!!  This block is super summery!  We hope you enjoy it!

As I mentioned before, the new Hexi designs are cuter then ever!  I went old school on the "home" themed ones by including a few sheep, a pineapple & of course, a saltbox home!  This one will be a great one to stitch & keep up all year long!  I know many of you are just like me and gravitate towards anything for our sewing rooms!  The series would not be complete without a sewing themed design!  I don't know which is cuter - the mat of the door greeter!  Kits & patterns for all 5 designs are on the website now!!!!

This week we are starting to promote the "Biggest" & SUPER COOL FUN Handwork Event in the Midwest!  It is our 4th Annual WOOLSTOCK Event!  Each year this gets more and more exciting!  And.. each year, more and more people attend this 3 day hand work event.  This year we have NEW & EXCITING things planned!  Since we have expanded the shop, we are also expanding out in to the back with a large tent to offer up some FUN things "Under the BIG Tent" at the Basin!  We are also having a few of my FAV people creating for our "Maker's Market", also out it the back!  We just put more info on the website & will be following up with a slide show and much more in the days to come!  Registration is OPEN and we would LOVE to have you and your girlfriends attend!  Be sure to watch out for our annual tradition of designing & entering our  "Quilt- On- A- Stick" contest held during our  WOOLSTOCK event!  We will be releasing the theme next week!!!  There will be BIG prizes given away, to 3 LUCKY Winners!

This week was AMAZING on the home front as well!  My lovely daughter Hannah graduated from High School on Tuesday with honors, as you may have seen from a pic/post I shared!  What an emotional mother hen I was!  The harder I tried NOT to cry.. the more I did!!!!! But, that is how I role!   I LOVE my girls & love seeing them grow and embrace each "season" of their young lives!  I am also very excited that Hannah is now dating a new & very sweet… and oh, so caring guy!  There is nothing more exciting to me than seeing your daughter happy & confident!  Next weekend we will be having her grad party!  Exciting!  Grace also finished her last day of school today and had a great year academically, as well!  She is very excited to enjoy the summer making memories with her friends, to go to dance camp & of course, sleep!  Living the dream I tell ya!!!  OH, To be young again, right???!!!!

This weekend we are hitting a bunch of grad parties, including Jodi's son, Trevor's!!  We can't wait!  Then next week, I am taking off of work to prep for our Hannah's party, clean the house & get the yard etc done!  The excitement mounts!  HAHA!  Alright… "Chatty Cathy" here better hit the hay & post this baby!  I hope you all stay cool this weekend and enjoy your grad parties as well!  Please check out the new goods online & don't forget to print off your FREE block 6 pattern!  I will be checking our comments over the weekend {since I will need a break from outside to cool off}!!!  Have a great one everyone!!!!!!
