It is supposed to rain… so keep your fingers crossed for me that it doesn’t!!! LOL! I took a couple afternoon’s off this week to spend time with her…. as I have 3 busy weeks coming up where the shop is open twice & I am flying out to a trade show in Houston! Gotta make times for my girls!!! We sure enjoyed hanging out, shopping & going out for supper! Good times!!!

Welcome Back to our Fall Into Autumn Event!

Welcome back to our "Fall Into Autumn" Event!  We are so glad to hear you are enjoying our event and loving the new designs, kits & recipes!!  We are too!

Today we have some of the prettiest array of Fall/autumn offerings just for you!  We have flannels, harvest designs... toweling & one of the yummiest desserts of the season!

We adore flannels, plaids & homespun and have combined them in a 3 piece fat quarter bundle!   Keep them all wrapped up to admire, or work them into your next sewing project!

Harvest!  You know I LOVE to design around seasonal words!  It's become one of my trademarks!  This Harvest Wool Runner was one of the class projects that I taught at WOOLSTOCK!  It's very large and oh, so gorgeous!  The wools and homespun backing compliment each other so perfectly!  This one is a must in my books!

Of course, Fall wouldn't be Fall without squirrels, pumpkins & cornstalks!  If you enjoy working on smaller projects, these 7 X 12 inch Frame it UP! designs are so fun to do!  Again, the combination of wool & homespuns are so appealing!

We just got in some fun toweling by the yard and have cut it into 1 yard pieces.  This autumn colored toweling can stand alone or you can add a wool appliqué design on it like we love to do!

It's always fun to stitch up a design and attach it to a basket to hang on your front door to welcome guests!  Our Crow on Acorn pattern & wool kit whips up quick & easy and could also be made into a pillow to place on an old bench.

Of course fall is also pumpkin season!  So we had to share one of our shop's fav recipes with you!  It's called Pumpkin Lush Dessert!  It's a keeper!  We just love this dessert and know you will too!

Thanks so much for taking time to stop by!  Please visit our website for these wonderful autumn goods we are offering!  www.buttermilkbasin.com. Don't forget- each day we are giving away a $50 gift certificate!  Your name automatically goes into a drawing when you place an order!  Have a fall-tactic day!!!!

Fall Into Autumn Online event ON NOW! $50 Giveaway

Welcome to our "Fall Into Autumn" Online Event!  Over the next 4 days, we will be offering you some NEW & festive fall designs in wool & cotton.  We will also be sharing some of our FAV fall recipes, fall adventures & decorating ideas with each of you.  Let's get started!

Happy FALL!

Here in Minnesota, we are blessed to experience all 4 seasons!  Of course FALL is my favorite!  I grew up amongst the oaks and the apple trees up North!  Oaks leaves and maple leaves are still my FAV leaves to date!  The maple leaves would change daily and they seemed to last the longest.

Since we lived out in the country, we spent a lot of time outside & being creative.  I can't tell you how many leaves I collected, and pressed between the Montgomery Wards catalogs to dry.  Each one was so perfect, yet unique in shape & size.  I can still remember how crisp & fragile they became.  And the smell... there is nothing like fresh fallen leaves... oh, the joys of fall!

Since we had acreage, leaves were a plenty and raking was a weekly event!  It was usually Great Grandma Lily & I out raking her hard.  She would get the most leaves, in the smallest area.  We had so much fun and used some old fashioned rakes that were not the easiest to use!  However, it didn't stop us from making huge piles of leaves for the neighbor kids & I to jump in and out of!  It was so fun!

My dad loved to plant and grow apple trees!  It was always so neat to see the fruit of his labor in the fall.  Now, with living in the cities, we have enjoyed going to our local area's apple orchards.  One of our favorite orchards is Aamodt's in Stillwater.  It is about a half hour away, is ranked the 3rd in the nation and is known for the best apple picking, hayrides & more.  It has been fun to go there over the years and create many fond memories with our daughters there.

Sicne we are talking about apples... I have a couple of apple recipes to share with you today!  The first one is simple, but tasty recipe.  It is Caramel Apple nachos!  I have served this at many parties.  I usually wait until the last minute to cut up the apples & dip them in lemon juice before I plate them.
I hope you enjoy it!

My next recipe is just perfect for using all those delicious apples you've picked up at the farmer's market or apple orchard!  It is Cinnamon Apple Bread.  I like to use the cinnamon mixture from Pampered Chef!  It is my FAV!

Before I share some of our NEW & EXCITING fall designs & goodies with you... I thought I would share a few ideas that you could do with your pumpkins!  I LOVE pumpkins!  I love all the different varieties, colors & shapes they come in!  Mixing & matching is always fun!  Of course, adding a little bittersweet & a mum here of there never hurts!

At the BASIN... fall is around every corner in the shop!  We have been working very hard to bring you some of the best designs of the season!  Here is a start... remember, we have 3 more days of fall fun coming up so we wanted to be sure to save some for each day!  We also have a Daily Giveaway going on too!  Each time  you order, your name will go into a drawing for a $50 gift certificate!  You can order as many times as you want through Saturday as we are giving away 4 gift certificates, 1 each day!

Here is a sneak peek of what you can find today on our website under "Shop Online" & "Fall Into Autumn Online Event"!  Be sure to head over to our website if you see anything you would like order while our items are in stock!
