Lucky Friday! Happy Halloween!

What better day for "Lucky" Friday (head over to our FB page for a chance to win these patterns!)

to fall on then Halloween!  Halloween is the bomb-dig-et-y!  I have the best Halloween memories growing up in a small town of 2,500 people!  First we went trick or treating to Great Grandma Lily's and got our vintage bags full of candy, then we went across to my other Grandma Avis' house- then thru the woods to the neighbors!  But wait- we didn't stop there... Then we headed into town where we went trick or treating door to door until our bags were so heavy we had to stop!  I loved going to Ben Franklin and looking at the costumes in the boxes!  Man those were cool!  If I didn't pick one of those out- my mom made me a costume!  My top two costumes she made me were a Smurf costume- all out huge & furry!!!... I also loved being a record!  She made that out of a hula hoop base!  So I'm curious if you gals went trick or treating growing up and if so, what did you dress up as or remember most about this spook-tac-u-lar holiday??!!!!  Happy Halloween!!!

Quilts for Market!

Hey!  Just picked up 3 quilts from the quilter!  I designed them to hang in my fabric manufacture's booth at market this week!  The quilts are on their way!!!  Please be sure to stop by Diamond Textiles and check them out!  They are based around her Primitive Collections!  She offers such a neat variety of cotton weaves fabrics!  It was so fun working with a new color palette!  Thanks to my lovely girls for bearing with the wind to snap a few quick photos with my phone before we sent them off!!!!

An afternoon at the apple orchard!

Last weekend George, Hannah and I went to Aamodt's Apple Orchard.  The weather was great and for the first, we decided to pick our own apples!  It really was a neat experience!  I wonder how many apples we passes up to make our "perfect" bag of apples!!!  So tonight I finally decided to do some fall baking!  I forgot how wonderful the aroma of fall baking is!  Here are a few pics of our day!  We also seen the girls' BFF Nelly!  She helps out a family fried who makes & sells kettle corn!  I'm also including the link to the apple crisp recipe I made tonight!  It was early enough so I shared some with the neighbors!  Nothing like a sweet treat in the evening!  Hope you have a great week!  Let me know if you did any baking !!!
