Wool Scrap Bag Sale, New Releases, Lucky Friday and more!

Greetings from the Basin!  Lots of fun new things to share with you today!  First up-- who doesn't love a SALE?!  Our first ever wool scrap bag sale begins today!  We cut thousands of kits each month and well, sometimes our scrap bins fill to overflowing!  Many of you have asked for wool "scraps" (such a poor choice of wording, since we all know what a TREASURE it is to have those random bits just waiting for our next projects!!).  So, we've made up some wool scrap bags, and for three days only, they are on sale!  Regularly $14.95, on sale for $10, today through Sunday!  Each bag is 6" by 9" and filled with bits and pieces of the very wool we use here in our kits!  It's a fabulous start to a new collection, or to add to an existing stash!  Piece sizes vary but every piece is useable!  Check them out here:      Once again this week, we've added new wool and fabric bundles!  We've been loving our new Japanese fabric, and these cute little wool bundles are to "DYE" for!  (Plus the names are just as cute!  "Sunshiny Day," anyone?  The sun is all that's getting us through these frigid, snowy APRIL days!)  There is also a new thread pack available, with gorgeous spring colors in the softest wool available!  So many fun things! I know you are all anxiously awaiting this month's new releases in your favorite series!  Today we release our May Vintage Table Runner Thru the Year, as well as the May center circle in our Welcome Home Collection! And here is the next Vintage Camper Thru the Year, as well as the most recent from the "Gathered Hearts" series, as well as "Chalk It Up!" Hey Everyone!  Up this week is one of you FAV giveaways!  Since so many of you enjoy the Live Each Season Mystery BOM, we always make sure to give away many kits of the new blocks as they are released!  If you are new to our Mystery BOM, you can hop on our website and print out a FREE pattern each month and at the end of the year, you will have 12 patterns that will be made into a quilt!  We also offer the kits for anyone who loves our look or just loves to get everything already to go each month!  We love giving you the option to make your handwork journey enjoyable!

LOL!  We sure hope you gals are coming to “SHOP until your heart is content” as we are letting you all have first dibs before we snatch up some of the COOOOOOL pieces got in!  We also have seasonal goods coming in too!  For those of you who LOVE Christmas… I have ordered in some of my FAV items that I would buy and display with in my home!  Maybe I will try to show you some of the Holiday goods next week!  So, plan that road trip gals and come hang out with us at the BASIN!  We promise a good time!  AND…. New designs, we are working diligently on new designs!  We will be releasing them at WOOLSTOCK at the shop.  The following week… we will be having our FALL INTO AUTUMN Online Event!  So please be sure to watch for more details on that as we want to make sure all you out of town followers have the options to get some of the NEW goods too!!!!  We would never forget you, as you are just as important to us!!!!!  I am going to TRY to offer extra goods that we don’t usually carry online and only get in for events.  The stickler is shipping.  Some of the items are big and bulky so if you can, I would try to come to the shop first, and if that doesn’t work hop online the following week and see what we can handle shipping!

Did you not LOVE those FUN wool pumpkins?  Are you wondering what the BOM is going to look like???  We couldn’t wait to share a few of the blocks with you!  Until WOOLSTOCK.. Isn’t this fall weather lovely?  Juel heard on the news that this will be one of the most beautiful falls we will experience here in MN!  She also said the colors will be spectacular too!  We usually don’t have time to get away since it is one of our busiest times of year… but I am thinking a road trip would be fun so see all the beautiful shades of autumn!  After all,… it is my FAV season!  Pumpkin Everything is how I role!!!  I see they even have the pumpkin Blizzard back at the Dairy Queen across the street!!!!!  I have never had one – but it is on my list for this year!!!

New Products! Valentine Party! Giveaway!

Happy "LUCKY" Friday & HAPPY FEBRUARY!  WHOOP WHOOP!  I am SEW excited to giveaway the HEXI Door Greeter Patterns & some kits of it on our FB Page!!  I also get to wrap up my week again with each of you and show you a "new feature" I am adding to my Friday posts!  I always get asked what I am working on… So I thought I would add… "What's on Stacy's Ironing Board!" …so you can see a "sneak" peek of what's to come!  So be sure to check out the pics in this post!  These are just 2 projects of a few new ones we will be releasing next week online & at the shop!

I have MORE good news!  We finally received the last threads for our "LIVE EACH SEASON" Row #1 Thread Kit!  This kit has some of the loveliest hand over dyed cotton threads & wool threads in it.  We have soft and subtle and lineny/textures… all in one kit, to make your wool pieces pop!  These threads will be used in the following 2 blocks as well!  This collection is perfect for other spring projects and would also make a nice addition to your ever growing floss collection!  {Quantities are limited!}

Speaking of floss… we have also restocked the cream wool floss that we used on our "Let it Snow" Mystery BOM!  That is also a fantastic one that will be used time and time again in many of our designs!

I know many of you LOVED the new HEXI "WORD Door Greeters!  I don't know if you were like me, and had a dickens of a time finding 10 inch hangers to hang your project from.  Well… the good news continues… I have 4 handcrafted hanger styles that are locally made just for you!  You can get a clean simple one, as well as a heart, tree or star hanger now on our website.  They are only $7.95 - $8.95 each!  You can buy one, or a couple… and change them out!  They are just perfect and not overpowering, like some! 

DID YOU SAY FABRIC?  OMG!  You gals… I CAN NOT WAIT for you to see my new line that will be out in May!  As many of you know, I am working with a new fabric manufacturer, Henry Glass!  We really are working together to bring you something amazing!  I was so excited to get home from teaching in Utah to open up my package up from them!  If you are a fabric designer… this is your HAPPY box!  I am still taking it all in!  We get soooo many options!  To narrow it down to a substantial line is sooo hard!  You want them to print them all- in all the color ways!  It is also so hard to keep it under your hat!!!  LOL!!!  What I can tell you… is that there will be a panel involved!!!  I know, right!!!  This was a first for me!  It turned out better than I had expected!  So fun!!!!  

Next week the SHOP IS OPEN Thursday-Saturday!  We will be doing make it take it's of the cute sheep pillow that says, "Wool you be my Valentine?"  How sweet is that!  We will also be having homemade goods baked by Shelley and will have our giveaways then, as well!  Don't forget, those who sign up for the project/party will also receive a Valentine from us & a fabric rose!!!  It will be SEW much fun!  So please stop in at the shop next week and enjoy yourself!!!!

On the home front…  I don't have anything exciting… we are all trying to either get healthy or stay healthy!  LOL!  No big plans… Just lots of snuggling with the kitties and stitching this weekend!  Oh- Hannah and her boyfriend will be making some tasty apps for the Superbowl!  They are excited to "party" & watch it!  I am just hoping to see Melissa McCartney's commercials!  I hear they will be hilarious!!!

I am so EXCITED to share that we finally figured out how to make AUTOSHIP work!  The only trick is that you need to sign up for any of the NEW Monthly Subscriptions before FEBRUARY 28th.  After the 28th, the subscription {monthly autoship} will not be available!  There is no way around changing that to meet the needs of those who want to join later.  If you sign up for them you typically get a reduced product rate and half off of standard shipping.  It really is a GREAT deal!  We have 3 options on there at the moment!  The first one is Hexi Mats thru the Year, the second is A Year of Hexi "WORD" Door Greeters and of course… we have a new wool offering… Basin Bundles!  If you need any assistance or more info on these autoship programs that ship the goods right to your door each month - just give us a call at the shop!  763-792-0638!  We are happy to assist you!!!!!!!!!!!  And THANKS to Jodi for staying late last night to help a girl out!!!  Love her!!

Next week I will be flying out to teach at the Cedar City Quilt Guild Show.  I know my classes filled right away and that I will I am SUPER LUCKY, as I get to connect with 225 of you who will be attending my trunk show on Friday night!  I better bring my A game!!!!  I can't wait!  I love sharing & meeting you all!!!!  So it will be a short work week for me at the shop.  If you need anything while I am gone - the shop gals can help you!  And if you are Salt Lake… Stop by and visit me at the airport as I have a 5 hour layover!  LOL!!!  We could party over a diet coke on ice & wool!!!!! 

 

Next up on the list is releasing the last 2 trucks in our Vintage Trucks thru the Year!  I am crossing my fingers they will be completed next week and that I can pop them on the website as soon as I get back in town!  Then the other 2 clubs I had started will also get back on the front burner!  Such a juggling act!  I did hire more help, but I continue to be working too much in the shop!  Sooooo if any of you are AWESOME web gals, social media gurus… YOU NEED to email me!  We could work MAGIC together!!!!

On the home front, my house is a disaster, clothes are waiting to be washed… etc.. etc…  I need to get in and get my brows done as they are shaggy!  LOL!  But - that doesn't stop me from having a slumber party with my girls, laughing with Hannah as we watched Grace give us a play by play on how to make a salad and pack a "healthy" lunch…  or snuggling up with my hubby to watch the bball game with pizza I picked up on my way home!  Life is what you make and I am not letting anything stop me from having a blast!  HAHAHAHA!!!

Ready for our 2017 Mystery BOM & Lucky Friday Giveaway?!

Happy NEW Year!  Let's kick off 2017 with an awesome giveaway over on our Favebook Page!!!!  Today is "LUCKY" Friday and we want to make this another great year of inspiring, creating & giving!  With the New Year, comes another NEW {FREE} MYSTERY BOM!  So this week… {before block 1 is revealed next Friday} … we will be giving away 12 Mystery Block 1 kits of our new "LIVE EACH DAY" Seasonal Row themed Mystery BOM!  This BOM was inspired by Henry David Thoreau's quote, as shown in the picture!  {Another one of his quotes graces my blog header!!!}  I know it is intended to be a simple reminder to live & experience each season fully as it passes.  To me, it symbolizes enjoying & embracing the seasons in one's life!  Before you know it, we will be on to another "season or chapter" in our lives… so let this be a gentle reminder to be present, embrace each day and just enjoy!  BTW, this BOM is stunning!  I have included the general layout/diagram so you can have a visual!  I can't wait to create this quilt through the seasons with each of you!!

I am sorry it has been awhile since I posted… I have to say December was a whirlwind!  It started out with teaching out of state, a mini vacation with my husband and…. wait for it… fighting a nasty virus through the Holiday Seasons.  Of the 4 of us… I got hit the hardest L!  I am happy to say that I have one more day of antibiotics and that I am FINALLY starting to feel myself again!  Being sick did force me to relax, enjoy time with the fam & allow me to watch HGTV, Joanna, House Hunters & Property Brothers!  LOL!  Even though we took turns being under the weather over the Holidays… we did manage to make some great memories, enjoy my family's favorite dishes, bake cookies with the girls & spend time with those dear to our hearts!  This was the first year my brother and his wife came down for Christmas!  It was so special!  As many of you know… with loss of parents & grandparents… the Holidays aren't quite the same… so this really was a great way to wrap up 2016 with them being here to celebrate with us!  How did your Holidays go?  I sure hope you all had a very Merry Christmas!!!!!??

On the shop front… December proved to be a hard month to get through.  We did end up slowing down to regroup & get caught up!  But no need to worry!  We are almost back at full strength at the shop, too!  Kelly's ankle is healing and she is coming back on Monday!  Yeehaw! And… Liz {who was a stay at home mom}, ended up going back to being a stay at home mom… which opened the door to hire April!  She has been a longtime customer who recently retired!  I am thrilled to say that things always have a way of working out for me & the Basin!  I am blessed! 

Today marks another new "season" at the Basin. Big changes are happening and today is the day it all starts!  We will first celebrate the Holidays with a luncheon & then I will be laying out all the NEW & EXCITING things I have planned for BB this year to the shop gals!  {Wish me luck!!!!!}  It is going to be ONE AMAZING YEAR…. and I CAN'T WAIT to share the details with you starting next week!  I can tell you that we did decide to kit up the Bringing Home the Tree BOM!  I know that is what many of you have been waiting to hear!!! We will have lots to share with you next week!  So be ready!
