{Glitches} Keep on Hopping!

Hey!  Just wanted to thank you for your concerns and let you know that Cheri did have download issues (which happens all too often!!) which held up her post this morning...  We are designers and can draw and create... but sometimes we just can't figure out the specifics when it comes to computers!

Anyhow... Cheri's ornaments and recipe were well worth the wait!  Here is a sneak peek... Please head over to get the full scoop!
On a side note - I am sorry there was no complimentary ornament for you from Stacy Nash... I am just hoping all is well with her and sometimes things come up!  I sure appreciate her doing what she could during the Holidays for you!  And remember, I do this for fun (as do the other designers), to brighten your Holiday, to say Thank you & give back a little and to have fun working with the other designers...  I have no control over what each designer posts or offers you... I am the "make it happen girl" who provides them with the graphics (and whatever else they need) and keeps things rolling!  So thanks so much for following along... I hope you still continue to enjoy the blog hop!  It really is more work for each of us then you see on "our day"!  (But is SOOO worth it!) :)

SNOW day/Blog Hop Cont...

Today was our first SNOW day of Dec!  It was a great day for us!  I can't tell you how many times the girls where in and out and drying their snow gear in the dryer!  It literally snowed all day... and is still snowing!  We have hit the 17 inch mark!  I wonder what the winter wonderland will look like tomorrow!

This weekend has been lovely!  I took time out for my family...  Yesterday we had brunch together, then the girls had their hair cut/styled for their Holiday photo shoot for our annual Christmas cards!  I tried a new gal this year andI can tell it is going to be stunning!  I am so pumped we got the shoot in before the big snow storm we woke up to this morning! {WHEW!}  Then today I caught up on some much needed cleaning and time with my girls!  And you know what goes good on a cleaning day?!?! A HOTDISH, of course!  So yes..  I was even Miss Molly doing some cooking too!  Then we winded down the evening with my husband shoveling (LUV him!) and the girls and I watching Holiday movies!  Good times! :)

Tomorrow I have a painter coming... I typically do all the painting in the house myself - but I am plum out of time and energy!  So we will see how it goes!  He is starting with the ceilings tomorrow!  I hate painting them so he can have at it! :)

Here are a couple of pics I snapped while watching my little bug slide down the mini drifts...

Please continue on the hop!  We had a brief glitch... so please head over to Stacy Nash's blog and see her darling new project and tasty cookies!  She has a darling post too!  So sweet!  I forgot to change the date with Cheri and Stacy on the list... So to be sure you don't miss out on anything... you better just go visit them both again!!!! :)  (You can never get too much of a good thing - right!?)

Speaking of the blog hop... How cool were the pictures from Lori's open house!  I sure wish I lived closer - it would be great fun to join in!  Here recipe is printed off and I hope to add it to my Holiday baking!  If you have not checked hers out... Please do!  And you get the first cross-stitch pattern of the blog hop!  Way cool!  I will be head over to Lynda's shortly!!!
On a personal note... This morning I decided to head down to the Mall of America and show my Minnesota support to one of the final 4 contestants on The Voice (which I LOVE)!  Even tho I am a rocker girl.. I have fallen in love with a very unique, humbled and talented artist... Nicholas David from Minnesota!  He came to town for a guest appearance (PR for The Voice) at the Patio in MOA!  He sang two songs, shared heartfelt thanks and received a gold microphone from Eagan (a burb of the Twin Cities).  He was shy, quiet and oh, so humbled!  What a swell guy! I was so honored to be a part of his special day and wish him so much success in his journey!

Tomorrow we have another talented primitive designer- Cheri from Quilts by Cheri!  I have seen a pic of her yummy recipe - perfect for this time of year!  I'm so excited.. Let's hop on over and see!

Barn Sale/Blog Hop

This past week I was able to sneak a quick trip to a barn sale thanks to my pal Michele!  We met at Caribou and headed out into the country until we thought we could go no farther!
And then -
 there is was...
this big old (new build) barn decorated with twinkling lights and fresh cut greenery!
For those of you who don't know me - I am a VINTAGE PROP addict!  YES!  I have a shed FULL of some darling props!  If you look close at the checkout picture - you can see my new red tool box and vintage woolen blanket!  That was just a start to my pile!  I also scored vintage ornaments, tinsel trim, jars, an old rusty garden trellis and even a couple of Christmas gifts (if I can part with them!!) Oh, and the coolest old tins... I will have to post them another time - too cute!
MY PILE!

Also the HOP is going FABULOUS!  SO how cool was JoAnn's post?  I totally want to move right in!  Her house (and decorating) is to die for!!!  Then just when you don't think it can get any cooler... she comes up with a Holiday bag idea (that I so am going to add to our tradition) and a stickin cute ornie!  This blog is rockin!  That's all I'm saying!!!  Here is a sneak peak from her post...

Tomorrow is going to be another spectalular post and project from a very talented hand work gal.. Lori from Notforgotten Farm.  Her designs are sooo unique and reminisent of days gone by.... Hope tomorrow comes quick!  Keep enjoying the hop!!!!
