Day 3 & 4 on our "12 Days of Christmas" and.. Henry Glass Fabrics Blog Hop

 

 Welcome to Day's 3 & 4 on our "12 Days of Christmas" Online Event!  Did you have a chance to stop over on the website and see all the new goods?  We sold out of a few of our items and were able to quickly restock them today!!!  Also, if you stopped by, you might have seen the most adorable picture of my shop manager, Jodi! Here it is,along with her recipe, too!  It is fantastic!  It is the perfect appetizer for the upcoming Holiday parties!

 Jodi has been with me the longest... She lives 1/2 hour up North and started out having the patterns in her basement.  She would ship a couple of times a week.  That was before the internet existed!  Each day I would have to go to the printer, drop off/pick up and then drive things down to her husband's car daily with my little girls!  I can't believe how much work it was back then... not to mention that Jodi worked for peanuts!!!  Even though there were a couple moments here and there that she did not work with me, she was never far away and recently moved up to be the Manager of BB!  I promised her I would take care of her once I could!  I am sooo thankful she has stuck by my side!  I don't know what I would do without her! 

Not only does Jodi manage {giving me room to breath now!!!}, but she also answers most of your calls and emails.  She also takes care of all the autoship programs, felts wool and is not afraid to step in & help out with whatever needs to be done!  She keeps things afloat for us all!

BLOCK 4 Reveal! Live Each Season "MYstery" BOM * New WOOL Bundle

This week we had BIG BIG BIG things going on at the Basin.  Again, {sorry} it is a secret and we can’t let anyone know until we get the word!  All I can say is that you gals are going LOVE it!  It is something very special – I am just tickled pink about it!  So know I am going to share it with you as soon as I can and we will make it a BIG BIG BIG BIG deal for YOU all too…. so we can all enjoy it together!!!!!!! 

Speaking of BIG deals!  You gals are always one of my FAV things to connect with during the week!  We love not only hearing from you on Fridays {or over the weekend} but through your emails, calls, comments on Instagram and all around!  The best part of my job is, and always will be, bringing you inspiration and enjoying my journey with you all!  I love hearing your stories, your struggles & being able to brighten, even your hardest days, through handwork!  We are so blessed to have one another! 

Guess what else in now on the website?  I just put the NEW April Basin WOOL Bundles on there!  The wool is flying off the website as fast as we can get it out!  We have restocked some wool, too, as many of you have noticed and ordered!  These SPRING wool bundles are so sweet!  They definitely capture the softer side of spring!  We hope you enjoy them!

From now until mid-May we will be working on models for the International Quilt Market!  I wish we were farther along – but you won’t believe the MAGIC we can make in a matter of a few weeks!  So be READY for some FUN things coming very soon!  I also received the salesman sample from my fabric company!  I am thinking that next week I FINALLY get to show you it {and remember… there is a twist on it – that you ALL will LOVEEEEEEEEEEEE}!  I will double check – but fingers crossed, we don’t have to wait any longer!!!! 

On the home front, my daughter is deciding on which college she will go to this weekend!  She will either be at the U of M here in Minneapolis or Iowa State in Ames.  Fingers crossed she is staying local for her momma!!! LOL!  I think her cat, Oscar, won’t be able to make it without her either!  They are too cute together!  He LOVES her!  Either way, we support her and if she ends up being in Iowa… shopping along the way will be a bonus!!!  She is also almost done with all her volunteer hours as a National Honors Society member.  Yesterday she volunteered at Feed My Starving Children.  That is one of her FAV places to volunteer!  Grace is patiently waiting for swimming to get over so she can dye her hair! LOL!  She is also trying to convince us to let her get a mini fridge & microwave put in her room!  She has big plans for good times with her girlfriends!  I love it!  Growing up I remember wanting to put a water fountain in my bedroom!  Like mother, like daughter! LOL!  Just love them both to pieces!

No big plans for Easter… I will be burning the midnight oil doing taxes for BB.  This is the last year I will have to get the stuff ready… as I have a gal who started working for me in January!  YEEHAW!!!!  I think we decided that we will be making homemade pasties for Easter.  George’s dad taught me how to make them.  It starts with a triple homemade batch of pie crust dough.  It is a labor of love and oh, so good!  He made huge pasties – so, of course, I followed suit!  Two barely fit on a large cookie sheet!  I will try to post a pic on Sunday!  I hope you have a fantastic Easter weekend and enjoy some delicious food, sweet desserts & make memories with those you love!!!  Be sure to leave a comment over on our FB page for a chance to win a kit of block 4!!!  It is so cute & kick of the first block in our SUMMER ROW!!!! 

New Products! Valentine Party! Giveaway!

Happy "LUCKY" Friday & HAPPY FEBRUARY!  WHOOP WHOOP!  I am SEW excited to giveaway the HEXI Door Greeter Patterns & some kits of it on our FB Page!!  I also get to wrap up my week again with each of you and show you a "new feature" I am adding to my Friday posts!  I always get asked what I am working on… So I thought I would add… "What's on Stacy's Ironing Board!" …so you can see a "sneak" peek of what's to come!  So be sure to check out the pics in this post!  These are just 2 projects of a few new ones we will be releasing next week online & at the shop!

I have MORE good news!  We finally received the last threads for our "LIVE EACH SEASON" Row #1 Thread Kit!  This kit has some of the loveliest hand over dyed cotton threads & wool threads in it.  We have soft and subtle and lineny/textures… all in one kit, to make your wool pieces pop!  These threads will be used in the following 2 blocks as well!  This collection is perfect for other spring projects and would also make a nice addition to your ever growing floss collection!  {Quantities are limited!}

Speaking of floss… we have also restocked the cream wool floss that we used on our "Let it Snow" Mystery BOM!  That is also a fantastic one that will be used time and time again in many of our designs!

I know many of you LOVED the new HEXI "WORD Door Greeters!  I don't know if you were like me, and had a dickens of a time finding 10 inch hangers to hang your project from.  Well… the good news continues… I have 4 handcrafted hanger styles that are locally made just for you!  You can get a clean simple one, as well as a heart, tree or star hanger now on our website.  They are only $7.95 - $8.95 each!  You can buy one, or a couple… and change them out!  They are just perfect and not overpowering, like some! 

DID YOU SAY FABRIC?  OMG!  You gals… I CAN NOT WAIT for you to see my new line that will be out in May!  As many of you know, I am working with a new fabric manufacturer, Henry Glass!  We really are working together to bring you something amazing!  I was so excited to get home from teaching in Utah to open up my package up from them!  If you are a fabric designer… this is your HAPPY box!  I am still taking it all in!  We get soooo many options!  To narrow it down to a substantial line is sooo hard!  You want them to print them all- in all the color ways!  It is also so hard to keep it under your hat!!!  LOL!!!  What I can tell you… is that there will be a panel involved!!!  I know, right!!!  This was a first for me!  It turned out better than I had expected!  So fun!!!!  

Next week the SHOP IS OPEN Thursday-Saturday!  We will be doing make it take it's of the cute sheep pillow that says, "Wool you be my Valentine?"  How sweet is that!  We will also be having homemade goods baked by Shelley and will have our giveaways then, as well!  Don't forget, those who sign up for the project/party will also receive a Valentine from us & a fabric rose!!!  It will be SEW much fun!  So please stop in at the shop next week and enjoy yourself!!!!

On the home front…  I don't have anything exciting… we are all trying to either get healthy or stay healthy!  LOL!  No big plans… Just lots of snuggling with the kitties and stitching this weekend!  Oh- Hannah and her boyfriend will be making some tasty apps for the Superbowl!  They are excited to "party" & watch it!  I am just hoping to see Melissa McCartney's commercials!  I hear they will be hilarious!!!
