And the event you've all been waiting for..."A Tisket, A Tasket" Online Event is now live!!  We were getting so many phone calls asking where it was earlier today.  Please don't fret...things can't magically pop up at 12:01 am!  ;)  There are a lot of "moving parts" that go into something like this, from having our models completed and photographed, having the bundles photographed, inventoried (because we certainly don't want you excited for something you ordered if we had actually run out of it!!!), and uploaded...to getting our freebies in place and uploaded patterns prepared and loaded on to the website!  We realize it's frustrating to wait when you are excited, but you know we deliver and it's always worth the wait!!  I know for sure that on many days, there are not many hours that pass from the time the last gal leaves (yes, that is nearly always STACY!!) til the next gal comes in!  We are always hoppin' here at the Basin, and anything "extra" in the week can really send us into a tailspin!  We do love these events though and it's fun coming up with extra special things to shake it up!  So, bear with us and enjoy the ride!

BLOCK 4 Reveal! Live Each Season "MYstery" BOM * New WOOL Bundle

Hey!  Happy “LUCKY” Friday!!!!!  Today is the release of BLOCK #4 of our Live Each Season BOM!  So of course, we are giving away KITS of this darling summer themed block over on our FB page!  There is nothing like a cold glass of lemonade and fresh picked strawberries!  Both are so refreshing on a hot summer’s day!  We are loving this BOM as well as the NEW Sweet Olde Summertime BOM!  It is so fun to offer you exclusive projects that are designed just for YOU!!!  You gals are just the best!  SOOOO glad you are loving the BOM’s too!!!  Keep sharing your progress!  It always inspires someone {including me!}

This week we had BIG BIG BIG things going on at the Basin.  Again, {sorry} it is a secret and we can’t let anyone know until we get the word!  All I can say is that you gals are going LOVE it!  It is something very special – I am just tickled pink about it!  So know I am going to share it with you as soon as I can and we will make it a BIG BIG BIG BIG deal for YOU all too…. so we can all enjoy it together!!!!!!! 

Speaking of BIG deals!  You gals are always one of my FAV things to connect with during the week!  We love not only hearing from you on Fridays {or over the weekend} but through your emails, calls, comments on Instagram and all around!  The best part of my job is, and always will be, bringing you inspiration and enjoying my journey with you all!  I love hearing your stories, your struggles & being able to brighten, even your hardest days, through handwork!  We are so blessed to have one another! 

Guess what else in now on the website?  I just put the NEW April Basin WOOL Bundles on there!  The wool is flying off the website as fast as we can get it out!  We have restocked some wool, too, as many of you have noticed and ordered!  These SPRING wool bundles are so sweet!  They definitely capture the softer side of spring!  We hope you enjoy them!

From now until mid-May we will be working on models for the International Quilt Market!  I wish we were farther along – but you won’t believe the MAGIC we can make in a matter of a few weeks!  So be READY for some FUN things coming very soon!  I also received the salesman sample from my fabric company!  I am thinking that next week I FINALLY get to show you it {and remember… there is a twist on it – that you ALL will LOVEEEEEEEEEEEE}!  I will double check – but fingers crossed, we don’t have to wait any longer!!!! 

On the home front, my daughter is deciding on which college she will go to this weekend!  She will either be at the U of M here in Minneapolis or Iowa State in Ames.  Fingers crossed she is staying local for her momma!!! LOL!  I think her cat, Oscar, won’t be able to make it without her either!  They are too cute together!  He LOVES her!  Either way, we support her and if she ends up being in Iowa… shopping along the way will be a bonus!!!  She is also almost done with all her volunteer hours as a National Honors Society member.  Yesterday she volunteered at Feed My Starving Children.  That is one of her FAV places to volunteer!  Grace is patiently waiting for swimming to get over so she can dye her hair! LOL!  She is also trying to convince us to let her get a mini fridge & microwave put in her room!  She has big plans for good times with her girlfriends!  I love it!  Growing up I remember wanting to put a water fountain in my bedroom!  Like mother, like daughter! LOL!  Just love them both to pieces!

No big plans for Easter… I will be burning the midnight oil doing taxes for BB.  This is the last year I will have to get the stuff ready… as I have a gal who started working for me in January!  YEEHAW!!!!  I think we decided that we will be making homemade pasties for Easter.  George’s dad taught me how to make them.  It starts with a triple homemade batch of pie crust dough.  It is a labor of love and oh, so good!  He made huge pasties – so, of course, I followed suit!  Two barely fit on a large cookie sheet!  I will try to post a pic on Sunday!  I hope you have a fantastic Easter weekend and enjoy some delicious food, sweet desserts & make memories with those you love!!!  Be sure to leave a comment over on our FB page for a chance to win a kit of block 4!!!  It is so cute & kick of the first block in our SUMMER ROW!!!!

What a fantastic week this has been!  I can't believe Saturday is here already!  It flew…. by!  This week we redid the shop!  It looks great!  We also added our coffee bar, our succulent display (that we are giving away to each customer), a "treat" station in the main area and found time to get the Hexi Door Greeter, Hexi Mat, 5 (Very limited quantity) spring wool bundles ready for you & we are also releasing Block 2 of our Bringing Home the Tree BOM!  So be sure to head over to our website for some awesome goods!  AND oh… We are also offering our 3 Spring Eggs/ Make it Take it KITS online (while supplies last)!    The FUN never ends at the BASIN!!!!!!!!!

We have been so busy at our retail shop these last 2 days!  Thanks everyone for coming out!  Today will be our busiest day, with 3 classes filling the day!  We LOVE seeing everyone!  The coffee bar is working out great!  Everyone is loving it!  As you walk in, you are now greeted with a table/chairs and a display of sweet treats!  We LOVE how that turned out!  We are also watering, wrapping & giving away succulents left and right!  You know me - I am always finding something new to give away!  Succulents are a FAV of mine…. why not share my love for them with everyone!!! We will be giving them away today too… so stop in!!!

The new HEXI designs are adorable!  I was not a huge spring fan… but this year has changed that!  I am having a blast designing "cute", softer designs that include bunnies, chicks & eggs!  These new HEXI designs may be my FAV yet!  We have patterns & KITS on the website now! 

We also added the next block (truck block) in our Bringing Home the Tree BOM.  The kit is stunning!  We are hearing so much great feedback from our kits!  Everyone LOVES our color palette and are excited to get a kit that looks like our model!  Always know that you will ALWAYS get a kit as close to our color palette as we can get!  That is something that we take pride in and will not waver on! 

Next week is a BIG week at the Basin! There are a couple things going on that I have to "keep under my hat"…  I can't wait to share it with you when I can!  In just 3 weeks, I am able to share some FANTASTIC news with you regarding my fabric line!  You will all be SUPER SURPRISED & VERY EXCITED!  So let the countdown begin!!!!!!   

On the home front, Hannah has a robotics comp this weekend.  Today GW and I went down and watched the matches.  George will go back today while I'm at the shop!  Grace is busy with Lacrosse, her social life & received an academic award.  Life is GOOD!  Very thankful!

On the shop front… We keep meeting our deadlines, kitting TONS of new projects/kits & are having a blast doing it at the shop!  We are also getting in tons of wool, fabrics & more threads!  We can't wait to get these on the web for you to enjoy!  We also stumbled upon some fantastic trims that we know you will LOVE!!!   BTW- I typically don't mention anything… but we have been having BIG issues with receiving  your orders from our website… So just know we have many tickets in to our host, Like Sew Websites- to FIX our site to make everything work properly to avoid delays and much more!

SPRING CLEANING SALE NEXT WEEK:  I am running out of ROOM in the shop & the workroom!  So it is time to MOVE some AWESOME goods!  I will be starting to put some great deals on the website next week.  Many things are VERY LIMITED, but I will still be putting them on there!  We will be having pattern grab bags, half priced books, cheap pattern sets, great deals on kits that are out of season & more!  I will put things on whenever I have time!

I am SWAMPED!  All I seem to do is "HOP" from deadline to deadline! LOL!  I just finish one and 2 more are sprung on me!  I just got notification that I have to submit 2 more lines of fabric by April 1st!  YIKES!  There is SEW much that goes on behind the scenes!  One day I would LOVE to share that with you!  The shop is also getting a couple of facelifts here and there!  Every once and awhile you just need to refresh things!

NEW BLOCK OF THE MONTHS COMING!  Next week we will be releasing the 1st Block of our SUMMER BOM!   It will be a 7 block quilt.  We will be offering it for 6 months!  We will not be releasing it in pattern form… you will only be able to purchase it as a kit.  It is an exclusive just for YOU!!!!  I don't have a NAME for it… so I am hoping you gals will help me come up with an awesome SUMMER themed name for it!

INTERNATIONAL SPRING MARKET!  Well…. I was going, then I was not… and now I AM exhibiting!  You know what that means… MORE NEW GOODS!  Market is in St. Louis and always falls on my daughter's birthday, prom & robotics competition.  I PROMISED my daughter that we will be here for it this year so… we will be driving down, setting up the booth, flying back, enjoying all the moments we can with her, including helping her get ready for prom and then fly back for the last day, work the show and drive back!  It will be expensive & chaotic… but SOOOO worth it!  First off, I am a MOMMA… and I LOVE being one!!!!!!!!!!

On the HOME front!  The girls are on SPRING BREAK!  Grace and her friend Elsie are working for some "cha ching" over the break!  They both have BIG plans of buying a car for when they get their licenses!!! LOL!  They even beat me to work today!!!!  Hannah is under the weather and resting!  We have no big plans… just looking forward to spending time together!  We are so busy…. so this will be a nice blessing!  George and I are going to the Miranda Lambert concert tonight if we are both are up for it!  The viruses are still lingering in us!  But, it would be nice to enjoy an evening with my honey!!!!

Mystery Block 3 Revealed * NEW KITS * NEW PATTERNS!

Happy "LUCKY" Friday!  AND… Guess what today is?  It is the release of our next block {block 3} in our LIVE EACH SEASON "Mystery" BOM!  This one is the perfect block to end our 1st row!  It features a clay pot of tulips & daffodils!  Can you believe we are moving on to the 2nd row soon!  Next month we will be starting the "Summer" row!  It sure felt like summer with all the thunderstorms we've had lately!  Unfortunately, we even had a tornado touchdown not too far away here in MN, on Monday. 

SHOP ONLINE NOW!

SPRING!  Spring has sprung at the BASIN!  We are starting to share a few of our NEW spring designs with you on our website!  We are loving working with our vintage look wools!  They lend themselves so nicely to spring themed designs!  We also have designed some fantastic "LUCKY" Clover & Chick designs for this time of year!  They will blend in nicely with other spring designs and are able to be kept out throughout the entire spring!  Plus… you can never have to many "LUCKY" Clovers around!!!  I LOVE 4 leaf clovers!  AND - since I am talking about the 4 leaf clover…. I have also added the project that we are making at the shop this weekend to our website for you!  I want to be sure you all have the opportunity to make this darling little sack!  It is so cute!!!!   All these new designs are available on the website under  shop online!

If you are local, we do have 3 sessions for our make it take it.  We are pretty full, but you are welcome to see if we can sneak you in!  We also have the best dessert this month from Shelly!  It features crushed Oreos, cheesecake, mint & so much more!  We will also have more goodies and giveaways!  Shop is open 10-4 today and 10-4 on Saturday!

On the home front, I am sick {again}…sign!  However, I am on the mend!  I had high fevers and I was smoking hot…  And not in the sexy way!!!!  LOL!  I continue to be reassured that one will never be too old for popsicles and a little tlc!  Luckily, George has been cooking, taking/picking up the kiddos, and even worked from a coffee shop this afternoon - as he had to take Hannah and a few kids {along with "Hornet" the robot}  to Target for an event.   I'm blessed with great kids & an awesome husband!!!

On the shop note… I am LUCKY there too!  The gals have been doing a great job getting ahead of things!  I think you will notice your orders are getting out much faster!  If you are coming to the shop this weekend… they are also holding that down for me while I am laying low!  I am hoping to stop in for a bit tomorrow!?!?   Either way, Saturday everyone will have their St. Patty's green hats & necklaces on!   Be ready for stitching, shopping, snacking & FUN!!!!  We can't wait!!!!

Mystery Blocks 4 & 5 Reveal! New Spring Patterns!

Surprise!!!  I am EARLY with my "LUCKY" {and very lucky} Friday, I may add!!!  Today marks the release of the next {2} blocks in our "Mystery" Let it Snow BOM and re-release of four new  SPRING patterns!  Today was a beautiful sun-shiny day here in MN!  Things couldn't be any better {well, after my taxes and signed, sealed and delivered today!!} 

Today I am also celebrating the 20+ wonderful years I enjoyed with my dad, Donald!!!!  Even though he passed away suddenly, on a cold and chilly day tax day.... many years ago... I still miss him dearly and cherish all the warm memories we made together!   I will forever be his little girl... and always be thankful for having a super fantastic dad... who gave me nothing but support, love & inspiration!!! XOXO  Hugs also to any of you who may be missing someone special!!!  

This week brought getting AHEAD!  Can you believe it!?  We have had the kits ready since WED!  {And yes... I know it won't last but I gave my girls kudos for getting the groove down!!!}  Way to go BB Gals!  We are even cutting kits for shows and of new designs we have been working on!  Joey enjoyed her vacation in Texas!  One day it reached 97 there!  WOWza!!!!!  Kelly's daughter is getting closer to her due date... so we are on pins and needles when she texts Kel!  Judith is also back volunteering and Jody is rocking it too!  It is so fun to have everyone around at the shop!  We all sure love our jobs! 

What do you think about the NEW BOM blocks?  We are loving them!  The gals especially love the simplicity of the snowflake block!  You know I couldn't just leave you with a plain old snowflake!  I had to put my signature on it!  I think it will be perfect for the 1st block in the 2nd row!  The I block is also a great block!  Who doesn't love to nestle up to the fireplace in a warm cozy cabin during the winter?!  I really am digging designing this BOM as we go along!  What a blast!  So if you haven't joined this BOM, anytime is a good time to start!  We have lots of fun blocks to come.... so head over to the website, get your patterns and order the new kits if you would like!!!!!  {NOTE:  We combined 2 blocks and made sure the pricing would ensure the low shipping rate!!}  How groovy is that!!!!!

I will be going on a {much needed} date tonight with my hubby- while the girls attend a school & church function!  Then, we have a fun filled family day on Saturday which includes taking on Hannah & her boyfriend on a fierce game of Cat Sequence!  GW & I are sooo behind in matches!  Who knew matching cats/5 in a row would be so hard to do!!! LOL!  Then I am off to the studio to enjoy come drawing, cutting & fusing!!!  I can't wait to dive into that!!!
