They sure are good helpers!  Sometimes even too good!  They are always trying to lend me a paw or two!!!  So since you all were so kind to take time and share a bit about your pets or grand pets... LUCKY CAT-ur-day! Good luck!

Happy LUCKY "CAT-ur-day!"  We sent mom off to take a nice warm bubble bath so we could do OUR own {cooler} Saturday/Caturday Giveaway post!  First, I'd like to introduce you to me- the  boss of the Basin...Oliver!  I'm the one in the sweet glasses and fine tie!  Since it's Friday, if you're like me...you're thinking get "meowta" here so you can get to the weekend!  As you can see by the pics- the 4 off us put in long hours this week drawing, erasing, sewing & packing!  "Fureal", we did!  You didn't think mom really does it all, do you?!?  And... we made sure and added our special touch by leaving a little cat hair on the projects so you'd know "FUR" sure which ones we made!!  We really had to get our paws dirty and had to start working because we got sick of looking out the window waiting for mom to come home!  She's always working!  You know we would move "Meowtains" for her!  She loves & takes such good care us fur babies!  Before we started working at the BASIN, it seemed like all we did was eat & sleep while we waited until what felt like "CAT-ur-day" to see her!  We really love our work and are thinking of expanding into yoga wear for cats!  We think we could be on to something big here folks!  😹😹😹OK!!! We better wrap this up in case she gets out of the bath!!!  Since we are curious cats... Arson!

I thought today was suppose to be "Lucky" Friday?!?!  My early morning took a crazy turn as I was leaving work at 3:20 am.  As I was leaving I noticed smoke in my car windows.  I opened the door thinking it was maybe the charger burning?!?  Kept checking/called GW & 911.  Then I opened the door behind the drivers seat I noticed everything was burning- then it burst into flames.  I was trying to save important items (not a wise idea, I know)...but then decided I better shut the doors to try to contain it...  Next thing you know the cops, firemen, canine unit & investigators where on the seen... They believe it was arson (maybe kids or druggies looking for $) as the same thing happened right before I called in just a couple doors down behind the shop.  They sent some things into the BCA(?)...  They said it easily could have been on fire for a few hours....  Luckily, my car didn't blow up & catch the shop on fire (about 3 feet away)!  Still processing what happened...  Who would do this?!?!?  Lost a lot of "good stuff" from bolts of fabric, wool, models, new camera & gear...as I have a on the go studio in my car etc... Such a bummer!

Hello!!!  Before I got into my post... I have to share this darling picture with you that Hannah shared of her and her sister for National Siblings Day!

 I just love it - it makes me giggle!  I love my girls so much... I know many of you have had the opportunity to see then when we vend at shows or host events.  They really are sweet girls and I have had the pleasure to be right there along side of them as they grew into kind & caring young gals!  Hannah will be 16 next month and Grace is 13!  Such great ages!  Today we gave away their swing set... it was bittersweet.... 

I have to say I am overwhelmed & thrilled each week with your comments!  It is so cool that you take the time to comment and share a piece of your world with me!  I dig it!!!  I am also blown away with the emails & offerings to help me out and sew!  I am so excited to take the time to read thru the emails later tomorrow and connect with a few of you!  I will also keep all of the emails in case I need more help in the future!  Know I appreciate each of you taking the time to email me and offer to help!  You all ROCK in my books!

OH- The best part about the vintage sale yesterday was the chocolate chip/PB cupcake Sally bought me on the way out!  The show was pretty low key - I think because the Junk Bonanza is next weekend so everyone is prepping for that!  I don't know if I will be able to make it there or not - depends on how much work I get done {after I finish up prepping the taxes}.  Either way - stitching/sewing is my top priority!  I am focused!!!!  I can always play after market!  Speaking of taxes... let's just say it's moving along! LOL!

"LUCKY" Friday!!!  Let's do this!  First off... This week literally went by stitch by stitch!  It's amazing how much a girl can get done for a photo shoot!  Lol!  I'm so thankful most of my 1st deadline projects got completed!  So glad I'm this far... Still much more on the horizon!  From what you've been sharing... It looks like a lot of you have been busy doing the same!!!!  I love it!  

Tomorrow I'm taking off... I am heading to my friend's mom's funeral {😓} and if I have time before I pick up my girls & the neighbor kids... I may sneak in a quick trip to a vintage sale!  Lord knows I don't need another thing -but WHAT IF there is something I'm missing out on!  Anyone else feel that way?!?  I did pull the old -can I take the truck tomorrow to pick up all the kids line!!!  {Didn't tell the hubby I may need it to haul a new find home!  Lol} Shhhhh!!!!😂😂😂

Oh- speaking of finds!  I've been ordering some amazing goods for the barn event!  I've even designed some custom pieces for projects!  I've included a few photos from last year's event!  I really hope you consider coming to my FAV event of the year!  I haven't had time to post much about it it- but behind the scenes... things are rolling!!!  And....  I have great news!  Debbie Busby from Wooden Spool Designs & Sheri from Calico Moon will also be with me at the Barn Event!  We have lots of exciting things planned!  So mark your calendar and sign up for our big workshop weekend!!!  It's going to be amazing!!!!!!!

A couple more things... Lucky Friday! Sale goods on our website!

All I can say is I made it to "Lucky" Friday!!!  Hot diggetty!!!!  Anyone else have a whirlwind week, like I did!?!  If so, I'm glad you made it through as well!   And to top it off... we are in April already... and Sunday is Easter!  What!!!????!!!  I haven't even enjoyed much Easter candy yet!  

My week in review is simple... Work, eat...light sleep!  {Maybe even lack of sleep!  Lol}.  As a creative person- I have trouble shutting off my mind... especially at night!  I like to work late when everyone else is in dreamland!  It seems like my day gets better and better as the day goes on!  Today my daughter {after giving me grief for going to bed at 7am} said I'm nocturnal!  She cracks me up!  I'm hoping to be able to tell her I went to bed by 5am today!  Lol!  

Anyhow... I really have pretty much been working...so not much new with me!  I'm loving working with the new fabric and creating a new, fresh look for you all!  I'm confident you will enjoy it!  While I've been working- Jodi has been putting more kits and specials on the web!  The feedback we've gotten about that is awesome!  So thank you all for growing along with us!  She's pulled a bunch of patterns this week and we are offering you some great deals!  So be sure to go to www.buttermilkbasin.com and check them out!  These are very limited.... I'd also like to thank you all for taking time to check in with us, share your progress/finished pieces with everyone and inspire us to keep moving forward each week!  It's great knowing you feel part of the Basin!  That's so cool!  Always know you are the reason BB exists!  I come from very "Humble Beginnings".  I grew up in a small town called Roseau.  I lived 6 miles out of town, in the country....named Fox.  Apparently my grandma used to work in the cafe (back in the day) across the highway at Fox.  I think they may have had a gas station/service station there too.... and Roseau only had 1 stop light in town growing up!  Since then... They've upgraded to 3! 

Time is ticking and I'm ready to hit the hay!  I'd like to wish each of you a Happy Easter!  I hope you all have safe travels and enjoy time with family & friends!  AND... I hope Easter Bunny is very good to you!  We are having a simple Easter with just us four... Dying some eggs...
