Giveaway * New T-shirts * Quilt Expo

It's "LUCKY" Friday and I can't believe it's here!  😃 I also can't believe I made it to the finals at Martha Stewart American Made!!!  What an honor!  To think next week I'll be sending the girls off to school again is so wild!  Where does the time go, gals????  Before the weekend flies by too, I want to give away some lovely fat quarters from my Humble Beginnings Fabric line over on our Facebook page!  The colors are so perfect for this time of year... I just have to give away some for you to enjoy!  

This time of year is one of my busiest times!  It's show season, as I'm sure many of you are aware of!  That means we are busy not only working on our kits etc for upcoming shows... but we are also busy pulling orders for shops that have made up samples and plan to bring them to their shows!  The pattern reps are also keeping us busy with large orders... Unfortunately, glitches come in to play like poorly printed covers (they looked pink!!!). Luckily, I'm used to a plan b or even c, so we'll get thru this!!!  As you can tell, there is never a dull moment at the Basin!  😃

On the flip side... We are vending next week at the WI Expo!  We have tons of kits, wools, fabrics, patterns & goods ready to go!  So I hope you can come see us!!!  The only tricky part is tearing down our booth at the local quilt shop (for the state shop hop) on Monday morning before we leave on Tuesday!  Wish me luck getting my ducks in a row to be ready by Tuesday!  It's gonna be close!  

This afternoon I left work early to go pick up more of our fabulous Sew Stitch & Create T-shirts you've all been asking about!  I believe they are on the website!  They are $24 and $26 for 2X.  They are men sizes!  You all need one!!! Lol!!!  Seriously though... they are pretty cool!!!  AND if you like those- I know you will L*O*V*E the new "farm truck" T-shirt I designed for the BARN Event!!!!!  Plus it's in a gorgeous cheddar/orange!!!!  It's stinkin cute, my friends!!!  Those are not available until the barn event!!!

After I dropped off the shirts at the shop, I went home to clean!!!!  I know, right!!!  Exciting!!!!  My brother and his wife came down today and we are taking them to the State Fair tomorrow!  Neither of them have ever been there!  It's going to be a great time!  Hopefully, I'll be able to relax and enjoy my time there with them!  I have a tendency to start worrying about getting everything done!!! Lol!  Having the Quilt Expo & BARN Event back to back isn't the easiest thing to make work!!!  Please remind when I sign up for these two again next year!!! 😂😂😂

NEW Designs for the BARN EVENT! New FABRIC Packs!

Hey! I hope this note finds you doing well and enjoying these fabulous fall days!  Today was absolutely perfect, here in MN!  I am so excited for crisp fall autumn days ahead!!!!  Bring on the pumpkins & apple pies!!!!!   Speaking of fall days...  I have some very exciting news & pics to share with each of you!  So grab a cup of coffee or Diet Coke (lol!) and let's catch up on the latest here at the Basin!   The AUTUMN IN THE COUNTRY Barn Event is NEAR!  Things are coming together nicely!  We are starting to post pics on our Instagram & FB page of items that are arriving daily for this special event... in a vintage barn, out in the country!  Remember, this event is open to the public!  You can come and shop the at the barn without taking the workshops!!  And you can even sign up for the party Saturday evening which includes a pin cushion exchange, without taking the classes as well! However, if you would like to take the workshops & make it take it's.. we still have a few spots left!  We will have WOOL by the boat loads, all my new fabric line and wovens in various packs and bundles, patterns, kits, demos, tons of new thread, trunk shows, seasonal décor, vintage goods, guest designer/teacher... including Debbie Busby from Wooden Spool Designs & Sheri Glasscock from Calico Moon.  There will be a vendor who will be bringing farm fresh harvest goods for all your fall decorating needs!  She will also be bringing one of a kind primitive cupboards, garden carts, Indian corn wreaths and so much more!  I have designed numerous pieces that she has made especially for this event to go with my designs... like this fabulous heart shutter that is made for my snowman class project!  You won't want to miss this event!  We even have a baker setting up "POP up Bake Shop!"  It truly is a MUST for any one looking to be inspired thru handwork... Relax & enjoy a day out in the country shopping, visiting & feeding the goats & lamas!!!!  OH- if that wasn't enough to inspire you... here is sneak peek of projects I am working on & Debbie's Make It Take It project she will be teaching at the barn!  Be sure to watch the website for pics of the completed projects & more!!!!  Hope to see you there!  *Again, all info is on the website & more info will be added this weekend!       Check this out!!!  We teamed up with our fabric manufacturer to offer you some great textures to mix and match in your projects!  Each pack has 40 pieces of the Humble Beginning Fabrics or the Woven Coordinating fabrics! 60 NEW Designs & NEW Mystery Block for May!

HELLO!  I am BACK!  I am pumped!  Market was a HUGE success in so many ways!  I hope to tell you more about it in the days to follow!  But right now, we need to focus on "LUCKY" Friday & the release of the May "Mystery" BOM!  What a Friday this is going to be!!! 

 

First off, I have to let you know that almost all the NEW patterns {I think 58 were uploaded!!} are now available to order on the website!!!!  www.buttermilkbasin.com  There are 5 categories with them in, so please make sure and check out the top few sections so you don't miss any!  There are a few more designs that will be photographed and ready to print soon!  I know many of you want order them as you have seen the pics!  I really wish you all could see just how gorgeous everything is in person!  The new designs were so well received and everyone raved over them!!!  It is nice to know all our hard work paid off!!!!

 

  

I know many of you are waiting to order the new fabric line!  I am expecting my bolts in any day and will get those on there asap!  My Humble Beginnings fabric line was also a big hit at market! Keep an eye out at your local quilt shop!  Many of your FAV shop owners will be carrying it!   I can't wait to see what each of you do with the new fabric!  Be sure to post lots of pics!  Super excited!

 

The new "Mystery" BOM is now ready to go!  It was inspired by my big boy Oliver who is still on the mend... but doing so much better!!!!  I seen him laying by me and looking at the dried roses {from Mother's day}... and I thought how perfect!...  Stop and smell the flowers... So I hope this block reminds each of you to take time, relax & enjoy your journey!  PS- Oliver says thanks again for all the well wishes that keep coming his way!  He loves you all sooooo much!  Here is the link for the new block:  

 

I really am glad to be getting back into a "somewhat normal" routine!  I really have missed posting, sharing your work and connecting with each of you!  AND... Hey Everyone... Stacy here!  I can't believe the cats took over and did such a sweet thing for me!  Doesn't surprise me one bit that Oli even did a photo shoot for the post!!!  

They sure are good helpers!  Sometimes even too good!  They are always trying to lend me a paw or two!!!  So since you all were so kind to take time and share a bit about your pets or grand pets...
