Summer Blog Hop {Day 3}

Welcome back to our FUN blog hop!
I should take a moment and introduce myself for those of you who are new to our summer blog hop!  I am your host, Stacy, from Buttermilk Basin.  I have the privilege of gathering a few of my designer friends together to share some summer fun facts about them, their favorite potluck recipe for the summer.... as well their complimentary project they designed just for this hop for you to enjoy!  I see most of these talented designers 1-2 times a year at the wholesale trade shows and some more, at the retail shows.  I love our industry and feel blessed to have crossed paths with these gals!  I am always so excited for our seasonal hops!  Where else can you get 14 {FREE} great designs, in various mediums, to enjoy!?  Thanks for following along... we are glad to have you!

These last few days I have been enjoying Sister's Oregon & the largest quilt show in the country!  This area is absolutely breathtaking and filled with much charm.  There are about 7 quilt shops around this area in Bend, Redmond & Sisters.  I have had the pleasure of shopping at many of them over the last few days, along with meeting & connecting up with some great people!  Here are a few pictures from the quilt show today!  I will be posting more from this trip in the next few days!

Back to the blog hop....
I really enjoyed Sheri's project and will enjoy making aprons with the shop gals when things slow down... I just can't resist making them to wear at our events!  I love it!
I know Sheri has toweling at her shop and we do as well, on the website!  It comes in various colors, which allow many options.

Up today is our first Australian designer, Gail, from Gail Pan Designs!  She loves handwork, designs fabric and publishes books, as well!  She is in the middle of winter there, but designed a sweet redwork project especially for summer!  Here are Gail's summer tidbits...

1.        Green Thumb or No?  If so, tell us about your flower bed or garden. Not really! Love flowers but don't garden!

2.       Average temperature where you live during the summer? Approximately 36C.

3.       How do you stay cool during the summer? Inside, with the air conditioner on!

4.       Favorite summer drink? I enjoy drinking cold green teas with lemon juice.

5.       What type of s’mores do you like?  Standard or? Standard, only ever had them once!

6.       Do you frequent any farmer’s markets during the week? No

7.       Favorite fruit? Watermelon...

8.       Do you do any handwork outside during the week? Sometimes, if the weather is sunny and its warm.  It can't be too hot though!

9.   Favorite summer tradition? My favorite tradition is camping by a river....not so much now as the kids are all grown up!

Be sure to click the link below and head over to Gail's Blog & enjoy your day & project on the hop!!!  I will meet you back here tomorrow!!!

I love Gail's pattern and the finishing is so cute. Thanks so much. Stacy I hope we are going to see some pictures of your trunk show at Sisters. If I had known your new treasures were going to be there I would have been tempted to make the long trek down to see them. Glad the rain held off for you.

Thanks for a wonderful Gail Pan pattern. The recipe sounds delicious, but I don't know what the dip is. I love Sisters! I haven't been there in at least 15 years, but it was so much fun when my best friend and I used to go every couple of years.
